Actress and former Playboy model Pamela Anderson said she was quitting social media forever Tuesday, posting what she said would be her last statement there.
"This will be my last post on Instagram Twitter or Facebook," Anderson wrote on her Instagram page, adding, "I've never been interested in social media. And now that I'm settled into the life I'm genuinely inspired by reading and being in nature I am free."
She advised her followers to find the strength and inspiration to follow their purpose and "not to be seduced by wasted time."
That, she said, is what "THEY want" and use to "make money" and "control over your brain." Presumably, she was referring to social media companies that lure users onto their platforms.
Anderson linked to the Instagram message on her Twitter feed, with a short message: "Goodbye Social Media #hallelulia"
