As Americans hit the road this Labor Day weekend, they have Kamala Harris to thank for sky-high prices

 

The cost of "nearly every Labor Day staple" is up anywhere from 3% to 10% or more over just the last year, according to CBS News, with the cost of a dozen eggs up 47%, hot dogs up nearly 10%, ground beef up nearly 8%, and beans up 6%. 

Americans are also feeling pain at the pump — again. The nationwide average for regular gasoline is $3.34/gallon — around a dollar higher than when Kamala took office.

When you take into account the entirety of Kamala's term, it's even worse, with overall prices up 20.2% since she took office:

• Overall grocery prices are up 21.6% (they grew just 5.9% under Trump).
• Transportation costs are up 32.9% (they grew just 2.1% under Trump).
• Airfares are up 22.6% (they declined 23.5% under Trump).

Meanwhile, Americans' earning power hasn't kept up. Real average weekly earnings are DOWN 3.9% under Kamala; they INCREASED 8.2% under President Trump.

KAMALA’S “VALUES” – After 39 days of silence, Kamala Harris finally sat down with CNN in a joint interview. It was a disaster for Kamala. 

One of the biggest takeaways? Kamala said her values "have not changed" three separate times Translation: She still believes in mass amnesty for millions of unvetted illegals, ending cash bail, decriminalizing illegal border crossings, raising money to bail violent criminals out of jail, banning fracking, abolishing private health insurance, banning gas-powered vehicles, and so much more. 

President Trump put it best:

In case you missed Kamala’s often incoherent ramblings mixed with a huge number of flat-out lies, Team Trump has you covered with the lowlights from her interview.

• Kamala bizarrely lied about her support for a fracking ban. She has repeatedly endorsed a ban on fracking. It's literally on tape.
• Kamala said she's “proud” of bringing inflation “down” to a higher levelthan it was when she took office. Inflation was 1.4% when President Trump left office, and now we have the worst inflation crisis in more than three decades.
• Kamala refused to address her support for decriminalizing illegal border crossings. Her silence confirmed what we already knew: yes, she supports decriminalizing illegal border crossings.
• Kamala claimed presiding over a record number of illegal border crossings “actually resulted in a number of benefits.” She then continued to profess support for a bill to grant illegal aliens a fast-track to citizenship, while doing nothing to address the millions of illegal aliens she released into the country.
• Kamala claimed one of her “highest priorities” is to “strengthen and support the middle class.” Kamala is in office right now, and the middle class are suffering more than ever.
• Kamala insisted “Bidenomics” is a success. “Bidenomics” has cost the average American family an extra $28,000 paying for the increased cost of living.
• Kamala begrudgingly acknowledged “prices are too high” under her tenure. She attempted to blame President Trump for the economic woes of her own administration – despite the fact that most Americans want the Trump economy back.
• Kamala said she has no regrets about covering up Biden's cognitive decline. She lied to the American people as she perpetuated a massive, wide-reaching fraud – until it was no longer tenable.
• Timothy Walz refused to address the stolen valor in which he is currently embroiled. Tellingly, Stolen Valor Walz didn't deny it, either.
• Timothy Walz was called out for lying about using IVF and lying about his arrest for drunk and reckless driving. He completely – and predictably – avoided the question.

Yikes. The fact that a nominee for president of the United States of America doing any interview is news at all shows the depths to which Kamala has gone to avoid answering questions. Given her disastrous performance, it’s no wonder why.

COVERING IVF – While Kamala Harris was lying and stumbling her way through an interview on CNN, President Trump was presenting his vision to Make America Great Again.

He discussed his economic plan to put American workers first. His goal is simple as it is profound: “Workers like you in communities like this should be able to afford a nice house, a new car, and a growing family on a single income."

Yesterday, President Trump also announced a major new policy proposal: “I am announcing today that under the Trump administration, your government will pay for or your insurance company will be mandated to pay for all costs associated with IVF treatment.”

Kamala Harris has been lying about President Trump’s position on IVF for months. Her dishonesty knows no bounds. President Trump has a vision to help American families. All Kamala has are lies.

 

THAT NOT DISCUSSED – During her joint interview on CNN, Kamala spoke for just over 16 minutes and didn’t even address the crime crisis in this nation. She spent a mere 3 minutes and 25 seconds talking about the economy and 2 minutes and 36 seconds talking about immigration. Here are all the things Kamala Harris failed to address with CNN: Kamala’s support for ending cash bail for violent criminals. Kamala’s fundraising for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which freed rioters. Kamala’s tie-breaking vote for American Rescue Plan, which even liberal economists say fueled inflation. Kamala’s support for defunding the police. Kamala’s comments comparing policing to slavery. Kamala’s support for a socialist takeover of our healthcare system. Kamala’s support for closing immigration detention centers and freeing thousands of criminals into American neighborhoods. Kamala saying we need to start “from scratch” with ICE and comparing ICE officers to the KKK. Kamala has a dangerously liberal record over a mile long. KAMALA DOUBLES DOWN ON KAMALANOMICS – If Kamala has been desperately trying to separate herself from her own Kamalanomics record, yesterday’s interview proved that dishonest effort is a failure. During the interview, Kamala insisted the Harris-Biden administration has done “good work” on the economy. Let’s look at the facts: Prices have risen by 20.2 percent since Kamala took office. Groceries prices are up 21.6 percent, rent costs are up 22 percent, and electricity prices are up 31.7 percent since Kamala took office. Americans have seen an almost 4 percent pay cut under Kamala; under President Trump, real average weekly wages rose 8.2 percent. Energy prices have soared almost 30 percent under Kamala, 13 times faster than the previous seven years. To afford a median-priced home, Americans would now need an annual income of over $110,000, a nearly 50 percent increase over the last four years. Household debt is at a record $17.69 trillion while credit debt has exceeded $1 trillion. Seriously overdue credit card debt is at its highest level in more than a decade. And if that weren’t bad enough, she stood by her tie-breaking vote that delivered price increases and tax hikes. Even liberal economists blame her spending for inflation. Fox News: Loved ones of students killed in school shootings slammed Vice President Kamala Harris after unearthed comments from 2019 surfaced this week, detailing that Harris supports removing police officers from schools. 

"My brother was killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting because of liberal policies like the one Kamala is pushing here… I wish there had been a police officer there to protect him. Students need more protection, not less!," school safety advocate JT Lewis posted to X. Lewis' younger brother, six-year-old Jesse Lewis, was killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut that left 26 children and staffers dead. 

Lewis was reacting to unearthed footage of Harris in 2019, when she was a California senator, declaring her support of removing police officers from schools in an effort to "demilitarize" campuses. 

"What we need to do about … demilitarizing our schools and taking police officers out of schools. We need to deal with the reality and speak the truth about the inequities around school discipline. Where in particular, Black and Brown boys are being expelled and or suspended as young as, I've seen, as young as in elementary school," Harris said in 2019 in South Carolina, when she served as a California senator running for president during the 2020 cycle.

It's that time of year again. Fox is releasing atrocious polling. 

A look at polling from this same time period in 2020 shows that Fox was off in North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada from either 5.3% to 9.7%.  [Fox's only Georgia poll in 2020 was released in June and that one overstated Joe Biden's support by 1.7%.] 

President Trump continues to outperform polling from past cycles. President Trump is 10 points ahead of where he was in Arizona at this point in 2020, according to Fox. Likewise, he is running 8 points ahead of his 2020 polling in Nevada and 5 points ahead of his 2020 polling in North Carolina. 

We see the same trend nationwide. 

A look at the RealClearPolitics average in Pennsylvania, for example, shows President Trump 6 points ahead of where he was at this point in 2020 and 9.4 points ahead of where he was in 2016.

10 QUESTIONS FOR KAMALA HARRIS – Last night, CNN announced that Kamala has mustered up the courage to sit for a *joint* interview – after 39 days of hiding out from reporters.

Team Trump has 10 questions Dana Bash must ask Kamala Harris:

1. If you are capable of lowering prices for Americans, why haven’t you done it in the 3½ years you have been in office?
2. You say housing affordability would be a “Day One priority” if you were elected. Why is it not a priority now? Housing isn’t affordable for the average American in 99 percent of the nation.
3. You co-sponsored Medicare-for-All and the Green New Deal? Do you still support these multi-trillion-dollar takeovers of the American economy?
4. You talk a lot about “freedom.” What about the freedoms of Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray? These women were killed by illegal immigrants who were let into the country under your watch.
5. President Trump didn't need a “border bill” to secure the border. Why did you support executive actions like stopping construction of the border wall and halting deportations that intentionally unsecured the border?
6. Trump was the first president in decades to start no new wars. Under your watch, wars are popping up in Europe and the Middle East. Why is that?
7. Why did you conceal Joe Biden's cognitive decline from the American people?

Yes, Kamala Harris still supports a ban on fracking — her top campaign spokesman just confirmed it.

It's clear Kamala's support for a fracking ban hasn't moved an inch, even as anonymous aides desperately attempt to walk it back.

In a statement Tuesday, Michael McHale, the president of the National Association of Police Organizations said: "Kamala Harris has shown once again that she simply has no actual knowledge of what modern American police officers do, and worse, doesn’t seem to even care for the men and women who put their life on the line to protect American communities. We call on her to retract and apologize for her comments equating policing to lynching and slavery. She has yet to explain her support for defunding the police and even worse, her support for the so-called 'Minnesota Freedom Fund' that put persons arrested for violent crimes back on the streets as Minneapolis burned during the George Floyd riots. 

These newly uncovered comments show that not only does she not back law enforcement, but that she may hate it enough to lie about it. Vice President Harris: For your information, it is America’s law enforcement officers who daily combat deadly human trafficking, child abuse, abductions, illegal sweat shops, and modern slavery. KAMALA VS. THE WALL – According to a report from Axios, Kamala Harris wants voters to think she “flip-flopped” on the border wall and now supports it.

Preposterous. Let’s look at the record. Kamala has always been consistent when it comes to border security – she’s against it. She supports open borders and is opposed to a border wall.

She has called the wall:

• “Un-American.”
• A “waste of taxpayer money.”
• A “medieval vanity project.”

WHERE IS KAMALA? – During her speech at the DNC, Kamala Harris claimed, “I will fulfill our sacred obligation to care for our troops and their families, and I will always honor and never disparage their service and their sacrifice.”

As vice president, she has already broken that commitment. Today marks three years since the attack on Abbey Gate which killed 13 American heroes, and the contrast could not be clearer. President Trump laid a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery today to honor the fallen. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has nothing on her schedule, and Joe Biden, who is nominally still president of the United States, is at the beach. All Kamla did to mark the day was post on X.

This is part of a years-long pattern of Kamala Harris disrespecting the Gold Star families, refusing to honor the fallen, and denying any accountability:

• She played a “key role” in the Afghanistan disaster by her own admission.
• She has defended the decision continually, and praised Joe Biden’s debate performance after he heinously insisted no U.S. servicemembers had died on their watch.
• She has never said the names of the 13 heroes in public.
• There have been no answers for the Gold Stars families as the Harris-Biden administration has stonewalled any accountability.

Where is Kamala today? Why is she refusing to honor the fallen? She should have been at Arlington National Cemetery, and so should have Joe Biden. Kamala Harris failed our soldiers and their families. President Trump never will.

When Kamala Harris entered the race, we predicted that she would get a bump in the polls, aka the “Harris Honeymoon”. We said, “The honeymoon will be a manifestation of the wall-to-wall coverage Harris receives from the MSM. The coverage will be largely positive and will certainly energize Democrats and some other parts of their coalition at least in the short term.” 

We’ve certainly had a front row seat to the “honeymoon.” In fact, the Media decided to extend the honeymoon for over 4 weeks now. The respected Media Research Center recently released an analysis of the media coverage of Kamala Harris and President Trump since Joe Biden dropped out. Their study found that 84% of the coverage of Kamala Harris was positive while 89% of the coverage of President Trump was negative. But even after all the fawning coverage of Harris and negative coverage of President Trump, we find this race fundamentally tied, particularly in the battleground states going into the DNC. 

However, post-DNC we will likely see another small (albeit temporary) bounce for Harris in the public polls. Post-Convention bounces are a phenomenon that happens after most party conventions. In 2016, President Trump and Hillary Clinton both got an average 2-point bump after their conventions. Back in 1992, Bill Clinton got an 8-point bounce, while that same year, George H.W. Bush got a 5-point bounce. While they vary, the usual range is somewhere between 1 and 4 points according to a report by 538. 

So don’t be surprised to see Harris get a temporary 2 to 3 point bump. 

But when you see this bounce remember that in 1988, Gallup had Michael Dukakis up 17 on then-Vice President Bush in the immediate aftermath of the DNC. Most polls had John McCain up 2 to 4 points on Barack Obama in 2008 the week after the RNC. In 2016, Hillary Clinton was up 7-points on President Trump after her convention in the RCP average. We all know how those ended up. These bumps do not last. 

The other thing to keep in mind is that while the media is going to focus on the national polls, we need to keep our eye on the ball – that is the polling in our target states. Our goal is to get to 270 and winning these states is how we do it. We’ll let the media make mountains out of molehills, while we keep driving forward, sticking to our winning plan of getting President Trump re-elected.

Washington Free Beacon: But in 2005, Harris struck a plea deal with Dwayne Reed, charged with the murder of the California secretary of state’s son during a robbery. Harris agreed to release Reed, who had six prior felony convictions, in exchange for testifying against his accomplice in the murder-robbery, according to news reports at the time. Reed, who was released from jail two days after testifying against his accomplice, murdered another man eight months later.

In December 2004, Harris’s office agreed to a plea deal with Scott McAlpin, who was charged with domestic violence against a woman, Anastasia Melnitchenko, whom he had stalked and terrorized since 2001, according to SFGATE. Eight months after the plea deal, McAlpin, who had eight other domestic violence charges on his record, murdered Melnitchenko and stuffed her body in his trunk. Prosecutors in Harris’s office did oppose McAlpin’s release from a San Francisco jail days before the murder.

Former San Francisco homicide prosecutor Jim Hammer, who worked under Harris, criticized her for striking plea deals with both Reed and McAlpin, and wrote in a September 2006 column that Harris lacked the "guts and the willingness to go after tough cases."

In 2006, Harris’s office granted probation to Devaughndre Broussard, charged in the brutal assault and robbery of a metro train passenger. A year later, Broussard assassinated Oakland Post editor Chauncey Bailey, who was investigating a crime syndicate implicating Broussard’s family.

"He should have gone to state prison," the father of Broussard’s previous assault victim said at the time. "Blame it on Kamala Harris."

Harris has not addressed her handling of those cases, and her campaign did not respond to requests for comment.

But she has faced criticism before as being soft on crime, and overly critical of police officers. She embraced the movement to defund police in 2020, saying that activists had "rightly" called to redirect police budgets from officers on the street to social services programs.

During Harris’s tenure as district attorney—from 2004 to 2011—police officers accused her of being too slow to charge murder cases, and offering lenient plea deals in lieu of going to trial.

She even alienated fellow Democrats, including then-Sen. Dianne Feinstein, for quickly rejecting capital murder charges in the April 2004 murder of San Francisco police officer Isaac Espinoza.

A San Francisco homicide investigator blasted Harris over her handling of the murder case of David Taylor, who confessed to beating and stabbing his 65-year-old mother to death in a drug-induced haze. Harris’s office took over the case, and agreed to a voluntary manslaughter charge against Taylor, which carried a 12-year prison sentence. 

"This deal was made without any input from me," San Francisco homicide inspector Maureen D’Amico said in 2006.

"It was just picture-perfect investigation when everything was done right, done well," D’Amico said. "If (Taylor) gets out, goes back to crack cocaine, he is liable to flip out. This time it could be an innocent citizen."

In Arizona today, President Donald Trump will address the invasion at the Southern Border. 

President Trump's event follows news that Kamala Harris has lost track of 320,000 illegal immigrant children with "untold numbers at risk of sex trafficking and forced labor." 

Kamala Harris has failed as Border Czar and innocent Americans have suffered as a result.  She is responsible for a record number of illegal immigrants pouring into the country. These includes violent criminals and terrorists. 

There has been no vetting under Kamala Harris. She let in a Peruvian gang leader wanted for 23 murders, for example. 

The consequences of her policies have been disastrous. 

Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal immigrant that crossed the border days before Kamala Harris was the border is "secure." 

Rachel Morin was raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant that crossed the border under Kamala Harris' watch. 

In just the past couple weeks, two illegal immigrants that were released into the country by Border Czar Harris were arrested for rape in New York. 

Kamala Harris now wants to give not only the tens of millions of illegal immigrants here amnesty, but she wants to offer citizenship to illegal immigrants that have already been deported.

• For 39 months straight since Kamala Harris became Biden’s border czar, monthly encounters surpassed even the highest month under the last administration.
  • Rather than secure the border, the Biden-Harris administration has instead worked to conceal the true number of illegal immigrants allowed in by funneling them through Ports of Entry.
    • Those entering the United States through Ports of Entry using the CBP One app are excluded from the total number of illegal immigrants reported by CBP.
  • On day one, President Trump will seal the border and begin the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.
• With roughly 3,350 daily encounters, this dwarfs the definition of a "crisis" set by Obama's DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson when he said in 2019 that "more than 1,000" encounters a day "overwhelms the system."
• July’s 104,000-plus encounters is a 122 percent increase from the average number of July apprehensions during the Trump administration.
• 6,323 unaccompanied children were encountered.
• 53,860 illegal immigrants were encountered from countries outside the Northern Triangle and Mexico, showing that Biden's crisis is global.
• At least 98 people on the terror watchlist have been encountered trying to enter the U.S. between ports of entry this fiscal year.
• 10.1 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Harris and Biden took office.

• Biden and Harris’ DHS Secretary assured that Biden’s empty executive order won’t stop illegal immigration – just facilitate a more expedited and orderly entry for millions of unvetted illegal immigrants from all over the world.
• Biden and Harris’ new order will fast-pass the entry of even more illegal immigrants into the country by simply routing them to ports of entry — where they’ll be processed and released into the country to await adjudication years from now. 
• Biden and Harris installed a de facto amnesty program in which 200,000 deportation cases have been thrown out due to his administration's failure to file the proper paperwork in time.
• Biden and Harris have unilaterally paroled over a million illegal immigrants using a 1950s law in an “unprecedented” way.
• An average of 5,000 illegal immigrants are being released into the U.S. every day.

• Illicit drugs are flowing into the country at an alarming rate, with only 5 to 10 percent being intercepted as border officials struggle to contain the smuggling.
  • Since Biden and Harris took office, roughly 31 tons of fentanyl have crossed the southern border, enough to kill roughly 14.1 billion people.
• 1,359 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 9,614 pounds of methamphetamine were seized at the southern border in June alone, with much more getting through.
• Joshua Sharfstein of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health: "If they're seizing a lot, it's because a lot is coming in."
• The amount of fentanyl seized in June is the equivalent of roughly 308 million lethal doses.
• Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans age 18 to 45, with the number killed by the drug up 94 percent since 2019.
• 112,000 fatal drug overdoses occurred in 2023, a new record high.
• On average, one person in the U.S. now dies from a fentanyl overdose every seven minutes.
• The DEA seized a record 77 million fentanyl pills and more than 12,000 pounds of fentanyl powder in 2023, enough to kill every American.
• According to Biden's own DEA Administrator Anne Milgram, cartels are "killing Americans with fentanyl at catastrophic and record rates like we've never seen before."

• 169 people on the terror watchlist were encountered at the southern border in FY 2023, breaking the all-time record of 98 set last year.
• More people on the FBI terror watchlist have been arrested at the southern border this fiscal year than the previous six years combined.
• More than 15,000 non-U.S. citizens with criminal convictions were encountered at the southern border in FY 2023, a record high.

HARRIS’ DEADLY BORDER CRISIS CONTINUES TO WORSEN

• A 12-year-old girl in Houston, TX was shackled, sexually assaulted, and strangled to death by two illegal immigrants vetted and released by federal authorities earlier this year.
• Two Chick-fil-A employees in Irving, TX were murdered in broad daylight after a 37-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador shot up the restaurant.
• A 22-year-old volleyball coach in Albuquerque, NM was killed and two others were wounded after an illegal immigrant crashed while driving recklessly under the influence.
• A 6-year-old girl in Summerdale, AL was killed after an illegal immigrant crashed while driving under the influence, causing the young girl to be trapped under the rolled car.
• An elderly man in Uvalde, TX was stabbed by an illegal immigrant who broke into his home after previously fleeing from a traffic stop.
• A 21-year-old woman in Syracuse, NY was suffocated to death by an illegal immigrant who crossed the southern border supposedly seeking asylum and released by authorities. 
• At least 2,297 people have died attempting to cross the southern border under three years of Biden, more than double the number that died under the entire previous administration. 
• A senior Border Patrol agent in Arizona has warned that soaring temperatures could cause an “unprecedented” number of deaths among migrants crossing the border.
• Tens of thousands of migrant children who have come to the U.S. are being exploited and forced into de facto "indentured servitude."
• Biden and Harris' Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) lost track of 85,000 children after responding to Biden's demands to "move the children quickly out of shelters" by rolling back important vetting and safeguard procedures.
• Criminals are flooding across the border, with Border Patrol arresting illegal immigrants accused of homicide, rape, assault, drug trafficking, and human smuggling, all within the past month.

Democrats are saving the worst for last. On their final day, Comrade Kamala will mercifully draw their convention to a close by delivering recycled remarks read from a teleprompter — where she'll surely speak in broad generalizations caked with outright lies that are designed to gaslight Americans into believing she's anything but a weak, pathetic failure. 

One thing was crystal clear after day three: President Donald J. Trump is the only candidate with the vision, experience, and drive to deliver the American people the opportunity, prosperity, and success they deserve.

In a stunning DHS report (released right in the middle of the DNC), the Harris-Biden administration quietly admitted nearly 300,000 smuggled migrant children are missing – with many likely sold into sex and labor trafficking.

The true number is likely substantially higher – and certainly higher than the 85,000 migrant children that were previously reported lost under Harris-Biden.

This means hundreds of thousands of children who were smuggled across the border under Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have vanished – and authorities have virtually no ability to find them. In fact, officials were unable to locate 84 percent of unaccompanied minors in just one ICE location.

The report found widespread failures and breakdowns within the Harris-Biden administration, including the lack of a “formal policy or process” to manage unaccompanied children, "limited oversight" of the programs, and non-existent internal communication protocols.

All of this has resulted in an epidemic of missing children under Harris-Biden – where the most vulnerable among us are left to suffer the inhumanity of their open borders obsession.

Jake, Dana, and others: 

As you know, Joe Biden has recently been claiming that violent crime is down under his administration. In advance of this week’s presidential debate, we felt it necessary to make you aware that that the actual facts show conclusively and irrefutably that Joe Biden has presided over a staggering increase in violent crime. 

Biden’s Fake Crime Statistics

According to his own White House press release, Joe Biden’s false claims about a dramatic drop in crime are ostensibly based on data from the FBI’s Quarterly Uniform Crime Report. As numerous experts have testified, however, this data is completely and totally unreliable at the present time. In 2021, the FBI drastically changed how it collects this crime data from local law enforcement agencies across the country. As a result, thousands of local jurisdictions stopped reporting their crime statistics just as law enforcement and criminal justice policies were being radically altered in cities nationwide.  

The FBI’s website reveals that the Q1 2024 data Joe Biden is citing comes from just 71% of the nation’s law enforcement agencies. That means crime data from nearly one third of jurisdictions is missing. Among the jurisdictions that did not report are some of the largest and most violent cities in America: Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, New Orleans, and many others. Ten entire states did not report their data.  

Although the FBI attempts to “estimate” crime data for non-reporting agencies using a “statistical weight” from reporting agencies similar in size and type, this practice is unscientific and highly dubious at best—and the flaws in what essentially amounts to ‘filler data’ grow as non-reporting increases. It is absolutely impossible that such “estimations” could concoct a useful picture of thousands of diverse non-reporting jurisdictions, all of which have different policing practices, budgets, prosecutors, local leadership, and populations. While this practice of estimating crime numbers for agencies with missing data has been going on since the 1960s, it historically constituted a miniscule 5% of all agencies reflected in the statistics. There is no credible way to “estimate”—or more accurately, forge or fabricate—reliable crime data for a full one third of the United States. 

Before Joe Biden turned these useless statistics into his latest talking point, even liberal publications admitted that the missing data rendered the current FBI crime reports worthless. In May 2022, The Atlantic said that FBI crime numbers are “unlikely to provide the clarity into crime trends” due to “a recent, and significant, change to how the FBI collects crime data”. Additionally, liberal Vox admitted that the FBI “had to estimate crime data like never before” and that “it may be several more years before as many agencies are reporting as used to under the old [FBI data collection] system”—meaning there would be “serious limits to what the new data can tell us about what actually happened last year.” 

As the old computer science saying goes: Garbage In, Garbage Out. The statistics Joe Biden is citing are just that—garbage. 

The Real Facts Show Joe Biden Has Presided Over a Colossal Increase in Violent Crime 

Given the total unreliability of the FBI’s current Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program as described above, the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) is by far the most credible and reliable barometer of crime nationwide. Unlike the FBI numbers, which even in the best of circumstances only account for crimes that are reported to police, the NCVS measures both crimes that get reported and those that go unreported to law enforcement. It is a survey not of police reports, but of crime victims. 

According to the NCVS, Joe Biden has overseen a violent crime wave of historic proportions. The NCVS reveals that between 2020 and 2022 (the most recent year for which data is available), there was a 43% increase in violent crime, 58% increase in rape, 89% Increase in aggravated assault, and a 56% increase in robbery.” 

Additionally, the NCVS finds that more Americans were victims of violent crimes in 2022 than in any year since 2012. 

Murders and Attacks on Police Soar Under Biden 

Joe Biden has also presided over three of the four most murderous years in the last quarter century. Even using the flawed FBI data which Biden is citing, there has been a 10% increase in the average annual number of homicides under Biden as compared to Trump (Trump 18,627 vs. Biden 20,700). 

Likewise, according to data compiled by the National Fraternal Order of Police, there has been a 21% increasein the number of police officers shot in the line of duty since Joe Biden took office. The number of ambush-style attacks, and the number of officers killed in those attacks, has more than doubled since Joe Biden took office. Last year marked the highest rate of assaults on police at any point in the last decade, with over 79,000 assaults. 

Local Data Underscores Giant Crime Spree 

Also useful are the data from individual U.S. cities. While anecdotal, major increases in crime in numerous major U.S. cities are obviously inconsistent with Joe Biden’s false picture of a historic drop in crime. And these are not minor fluctuations—these are humungous swings. 

Between President Trump’s final year in office and the end of 2023, crime in many American cities rose substantially, often dramatically. Using the latest available data, since 2020, there has been a 166% increase in carjackings in Washington D.C., as well as a 38% increase in homicides, and a 74% increase in robbery. In New York City, there has been a 75% increase in carjackings and a 42% increase in grand larceny. In Atlanta, there has been a 66% increase in carjackings and a 16% increase in aggravated assaults. In Chicago, there has been a 40% increase in robbery, 24% increase in assaults, and a 155% increase in stalking cases.  In Philadelphia, there’s been a 135% increase in retail theft and a 152% increase in carjackings. In San Francisco, there’s been a 26% increase in grand larceny and a 10% increase in carjackings. In Seattle, there’s been an 85% increase in carjackings and a 23% increase in aggravated assaults. 

The downward spiral has continued: just in the last year, there has been a 46% increase in transit crime in New York City, 12% increase in homicides in Minneapolis, 37%  increase in homicides in Reno, 85% increase in homicides in Wichita, 180% increase in homicides in Colorado Springs, 24% increase in homicides in Charlotte, and a 24% increase in homicides in Baton Rouge. 

It’s Not Crime That’s Down; It’s Crime Reporting That’s Down 

The NCVS has shown that reporting of crime has been on a steady decline for the last three decades. 

The NCVS reveals that in 2022, there was a 4% decrease in reporting of violent crimes, and a 12% decrease in reporting of violent crimes committed by strangers compared to 2021.  

It's no mystery why crime reporting would be down sharply: in the wake of the radical left’s war on law enforcement and police starting in 2020, jurisdictions across the country began adopting the most extreme left-wing criminal justice policies ever implemented (and did so with the support of Joe Biden and his party). Marxist prosecutors stopped prosecuting numerous offenses, leading police to stop arresting criminals for crimes that would never be prosecuted, leading more victims not to even call the police. 

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, there are a few reasons why victims decide not to report crime. First, they “fear of reprisal or getting the offender in trouble.” Second, they believe “the police would not or could not do anything to help.” Third, they believe “the crime to be a personal issue or too trivial to report.” The Democrat Party’s war on police and law enforcement exacerbates each and every one of these factors leading victims not to report crime. 

Never forget: the Biden Crime Wave Was Started by Joe Biden and Joe Biden’s Party. 

As everyone knows, the Democrat Party in 2020 launched a colossal campaign of violence and vilification against police officers and law enforcement across the country. This crusade to “Defund the Police,” or, euphemistically, “Reimagine Public Safety,” included widespread violent rioting that was accepted and often encouraged by Democrat politicians. Joe Biden, his radical supporters, and his media allies put a target on the backs of law enforcement officers nationwide. 

As a result, there were over 4,000 additional assaults on police in 2020 compared to 2019—and the left-wing war on police has only continued. Police officers were bullied and intimidated into backing off the enforcement of the law.  Mass resignations ensued. An analysis conducted by the Police Executive Research Forum in February 2023 found that there was a 47% increase in officer resignations between 2019 and 2022, and a 19% increase in officers retiring over the course of those same three years. 

Those resignations were predictably followed by recruiting struggles across the country. The Police Executive Research Forum reported a nearly 5% decrease in the number of uniformed police officers on the streets between 2020 and 2023. International Association of Chiefs of Police President John Letteney attributes this recruiting shortfall to “media coverage [that] has led many young people to view police differently than their parents' generation may have.” 

In the summer of 2020, Los Angeles had 9,750 police officers in its ranks; now it has 8,908. Seattle has had a net loss of 355 officers since 2020, and in 2023 the police force had the fewest number of people on staff in over three decades. The St. Louis Police Department lost nearly 18% of its police force between 2022 and 2023. Last year Washington D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) had 3,350 sworn officers, 450 fewer than 2020. The MPD Chief of Police reported that his department was “at the lowest staffing level” in “the past 50 years.” 

Meanwhile, left-wing jurisdictions literally did “defund the police.” New York City cut their police department budget by $317 million, Los Angeles by $150 million, Baltimore by $22 million, San Francisco by $120 million, Minneapolis by $8 million, Oakland by $14 million, Portland by $15 million, Washington D.C. by $15 million, Philadelphia by $33 million, and Salt Lake City by $5 million. 

Making matters even worse, Joe Biden has repeatedly pushed Congress to pass legislation that would strip police officers of qualified immunity and expose them to an endless barrage of lawsuits to bankrupt them and potentially even subject them to criminal penalties. 

As a direct result of these left-wing assaults on law enforcement, police have arrested an average of 800,000 fewer criminals per year under Joe Biden than they did under President Trump—leaving Americans much less safe under Crooked Joe Biden. 

Marxist DAs Refuse to Enforce the Law 

The Biden Crime Wave has been compounded by left-wing jurisdictions that gutted prosecution and penalties for dangerous criminals. 

In New York, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced that he would cease prosecutions of most trespassing cases, resisting arrest, prostitution, drug dealing (marijuana), and more. Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon directed prosecutors to decline or dismiss charges against individuals for trespassing, disturbing the peace, driving without a valid license, driving on a suspended license, making criminal threats, public intoxication, and loitering to commit prostitution. In Philadelphia, District Attorney Larry Krasner treats theft of any goods valued at less than $500 as a mere “summary offense” unless the perpetrator happens to also have a documented history of theft. Former San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudinbrought charges for shoplifting of items under $950 less than half the time such arrests occurred between 2020 and 2021. Cook County District Attorney Kim Foxx raised the threshold for theft to be considered a felony from $300 to $1,000. 

Within one year of New York State implementing its law to abolish cash bail in 2020, the city of New York saw a 97% increase in shootings, 42% increase in burglaries, 44% increase in murders, and a 67% increase in carjackings. Joe Biden endorsed this policy in 2020, calling cash bail a “modern-day debtors’ prison” at the apex of the violent riots that summer. He reaffirmed his support for “no cash bail” in his “Unity Task Force” with Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders. And Biden continues to support abolishing cash bail to this day. In the White House’s “National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality,” his administration restated that its goal is to “end cash bail”. 

Americans Know Joe Biden is Lying About Crime 

Joe Biden may feel he can lie with impunity about crime using his fake statistics, but the American People are not fooled. The public knows that crime is way up. 

Earlier this year, 68% of Republicans, 58% of Independents, and even 47% of Democrats said reducing crime “should be a top priority” for the President and Congress. The majority of Americans also reported that since last year, crime had increased at both the local and national levels (55% and 77% respectively). 

Joe Biden offers no explanation for how or why 77% of Americans are wrong to trust their own experience over his fake crime statistics.  

Rampant Crime Has Degraded the Quality of Daily Life Under Biden 

It should be no shock that Americans are not fooled by Joe Biden’s empty talking points on crime. The Biden Crime Wave has a daily impact on Americans’ quality of life. 

Conditions have become so lawless in some Democrat-run cities that residents are preemptively leaving their cars open so would-be thieves don’t smash their windows. Business owners are resorting to leaving signs for potential criminals, pleading with them not to rob the customers. Smash-and-grab robberies are spilling into the suburbs. Convenience stores are closing down and department stores are leaving inner cities because the shelves are being looted bare. At CVS, Walgreens, and Duane Reade, even the cheapest and most basic merchandise has to be locked up to prevent the stores from being cleaned out.  

This was not the case under President Trump, and Americans know it—regardless of Biden’s pathetic claims.

Nothing would deliver a more crushing blow to American families confronting the burdens of inflation than a large tax hike on their incomes if this tax reform were allowed to expire. 

To surge economic growth and confront the cost-of-living crisis without inflationary government spending, President Trump will preserve the individual tax cuts and business tax reforms of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. 

President Trump will also insulate our nation from future global supply and inflation shocks by putting American manufacturers on a level playing field with their global counterparts and give the economic space for our most critical industries to grow. 

Kamala Harris, by contrast, was opposed to the USMCA trade deal that created thousands of auto jobs.

BLUF: The latest Sun Belt swing state polls of Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada conducted by the New York Times and Siena College are, once again, a perfect example of how wildly inaccurate recalled 2020 vote between President Trump and Joe Biden is being used to create a phony lead for Kamala Harris. Fortunately, they proved our case for us this week, because they actually got Georgia right: among registered voters, they have a dead-even split between President Trump and Joe Biden on the recalled 2020 vote. As a result, President Trump leads Kamala Harris by 7 points (51-44) in the 2024 head-to-head matchup among all registered voters. Arizona and Nevada however look nothing like the 2020 reported results. If they did, President Trump would lead by 3 points (50-47) in Arizona and by 9 (53-44) in Nevada.

Even with the understatement of President Trump’s 2020 support in these key states and an unrepresentative weighting scheme relative to their Electoral Vote weights between the states surveyed, President Trump is consistently overperforming among black voters and voters aged 18-29, and has better fidelity among registered Republicans and 2020 supporters than Kamala Harris does among registered Democrats and 2020 Biden voters. 

As a reminder, four days before the 2020 election NYT / Siena polls had President Trump trailing in Arizona by 6 (49-43), and eight days before the 2020 election they had President Trump trailing in Nevada by 6 (49-43). Their last Georgia poll, fifteen days before the 2020 election, showed a tied race.

Bento-Pinheiro illegally crossed the border on July 10, 2021 and was released the next day. He was arrested this week for assault to rape in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

Gianfranco Torres-Navarro 

Torres-Navarro was arrested in New York Wednesday by ICE (the agency Kamala compared to the KKK). Torres-Navarro is wanted for 23 murders in his home country of Peru and is allegedly the leader of a group called "Los Killers." Torres-Navarro illegally crossed the border in May 2024 and was released into the country. 

Papa Diop 

Diop crossed the border illegally in May 2023 and was released into the country due to a lack of space at immigration detention centers, which Kamala Harris wants to close.  Diop was arrested last week for raping a 36-year-old woman in the Bronx. 

Marc Kervens Beauvais 

Beauvais illegally crossed the border in June 2021 and was promptly released into the country. He was arrested by the Peabody, Massachusetts Police Department on July 31 for allegedly raping a pregnant woman.

Comrade Kamala Harris just unveiled her Soviet-style price control scheme — an experiment that has been tried, and failed, by communist regimes throughout history. 

Her plan would only exacerbate the damage she has already done to our country.

Comrade Kamala did, however, unintentionally highlight the economic failures she and Biden have unleashed over the past 3.5 years:

• Harris admitted Americans have not seen any sort of economic "progress" after nearly four years of Harris-Biden.
• Harris acknowledged prices for food, gas, rent, clothes, and prescription drugs are way up during her tenure.
• Harris admitted the American Dream is "out of reach for far too many American families" because of her policies.
• Harris highlighted the sky-high price increases for grocery staples since she took office.
• Harris railed against President Trump's tax cuts, which lowered taxes for 91% of Americans in every income bracket.

Comrade Kamala was certainly right about one thing: "our country has come a long way" since she and Biden took office. 

Just not in the way she thinks.

CNN Economics Commentator Catherine Rampell shredded Kamala Harris' communist plan to institute price controls. 

"We've seen this kind of thing tried in lots of other countries before, Venezuela, Argentina, the Soviet Union," Rampell said. "It leads to shortages. It leads to black markets, plenty of uncertainty." 

Rampell said that Kamala's price control plan would "at best, do nothing. At worst, cause a lot of harm."

CNN: I read your piece, and I heard you just mention it, the federal ban on price gouging for groceries. You are skeptical of this. Why? 

RAMPELL: Well, first of all, nobody can explain what price gouging means. It's like that old line about pornography: I know it when I see it, in the sense that, what does it mean to have an excessive price or an excessive profit margin? That seems to be shorthand for a price or a profit margin that bugs me. That seems too high. 

So, you know, it's very hard to pin down what this would actually mean. If you look at the legislation that, as I mentioned, is already in the Senate, led by Senator Warren and Senator Bob Casey and a slew of others. The particular way that this is written, which is likely to be the template for any proposal that Harris would eventually embrace, is especially bad in that it just bans "excessive prices, grossly excessive prices, grossly excessive profit margins," and says that the Federal Trade Commission can use any metric it deems appropriate to decide what that would mean. 

Which basically says, like, it's not going to be markets, it's not going to be supply and demand that's determining how much your grocery store charges you for for milk or for eggs. It's going to be some bureaucrat in DC. 

Which seems totally unworkable, first of all, for the FTC to be deciding how much Kroger charges for eggs in Michigan. But it also would be very bad for markets. We've seen this kind of thing tried in lots of other countries before, Venezuela, Argentina, the Soviet Union, et cetera. It leads to shortages. It leads to black markets, plenty of uncertainty. 

And beyond that, the specific way this bill is written might actually increase prices because of some of the other language in it, things like requiring companies, public companies, to disclose in their quarterly reports, the quarterly earnings reports, how they're setting prices, which is a great way to help them collude, which normally we don't want them to do. 

So anyway, you know, the devil's in the in the details, I guess, for that bill. But it's really hard for me to imagine any form of legislation that preserves the spirit of what she's proposing that would not be, you know, at best, do nothing. At worst, cause a lot of harm.

COMRADE KAMALA – Kamala Harris unveiled a government price fixing scheme today that's more reminiscent of a third-world regime than the United States.

Who said it, Comrade Maduro or Comrade Kamala? “I have given precise instructions to tackle speculation by those sectors of the economy that do not want to cooperate with the country…All the mechanisms to regulate and monitor production, costs and prices are activated.”

Who said it, Comrade Maduro or Comrade Kamala? “I have given precise instructions to tackle speculation by those sectors of the economy that do not want to cooperate with the country…All the mechanisms to regulate and monitor production, costs and prices are activated.”

It’s hard to tell with Kamala officially proposing  a “Maduro Plan” of price controls.

Reminder: Even liberal economists like Jason Furman, Steven Rattner, Larry Summers, and Janet Yellen say her spending fueled inflation.

This unaffordable America is brought to you solely thanks to Kamala Harris’s dangerously liberal policies, and it will only get worse if she is elected to the Oval Office. CNN: "Until last year, Janet Albrecht could afford to eat roast beef sandwiches or tuna salad for lunch. But the widowed 78-year-old now has to skimp on her meals because her Social Security benefits haven't kept up with the rising costs for food, housing and health care in recent years. 

A retired graphic designer, Albrecht estimates she's paying $100 more a month at the supermarket than she was before inflation started skyrocketing in 2021. Her landlord increased the monthly rent by a total of $65 over the past two years, her utility bills are larger and some of the seven medications she takes daily after suffering a heart attack have gotten more expensive. She hasn't had a haircut in more than a year, though she doesn't like to wear her hair so long." 

Janet is far from the only senior struggling to make ends meet in the Kamala economy.  

President Donald J. Trump will bring economic relief to seniors like Janet with his plan to eliminate taxes on Social Security — while Kamala is set on destroying Social Security and Medicare by doling out government benefits, meant for America's seniors, to illegal aliens.
