Scott Bessent Impresses At Senate Confirmation Hearing January 16, 2024
Today, Scott Bessent, President Donald J. Trump's nominee to lead the Department of the Treasury, delivered a masterful performance before the Senate Committee on Finance. His poise, intellect, and depth of knowledge were on full display as Americans saw firsthand why President Trump selected him for the role.
After four years of Biden-induced economic turmoil, Bessent made clear why he is the perfect choice to implement President Trump's economic agenda and return prosperity to the American people.
Here are the top moments you missed:
- Bessent warned about the dangers if Congress doesn't renew the Trump Tax Cuts: "If we do not renew and extend them, then we will be facing an economic calamity, as always with financial instability, that falls on middle and working class people."
- Bessent highlighted one of the biggest problems facing American monetary policy: "We do not have a revenue problem in the United States of America, we have a spending problem ... This spending is out of control."
- Bessent schooled a Democrat senator on China and "clean energy": "China will build 100 new coal plants this year. There is not a clean energy race — there is an energy race."
- Bessent passionately addressed his background — and why President Trump selected him for the job: "President Trump chose me because he believes that I'm the best candidate — not because of my sexual preference, not because treasury secretaries with green eyes do better — and I think it is a tribute to President Trump that he looks at people AS PEOPLE."
- Bessent spoke about the importance of addressing Biden's inflation crisis: "President Trump and myself are committed to addressing the affordability crisis. Part of the affordability crisis stems from this great inflation that we've had since 2021 ... Inflation is one of the great killers for working families."
- Bessent shut down Democrat lies about President Trump's tariff policy: "The history of tariffs and optimal tariff theory does not support what you're saying."
- Bessent broke down how the Trump administration could use tariffs: "One will be for remedying unfair trade practices ... For a more generalized tariff as a revenue raiser for the federal budget ... [and] tariffs can be used for negotiations."
- Bessent detailed a top priority of President Trump's Department of the Treasury: "Increasing the after-tax return on capital for U.S. companies — especially small business — is one of the greatest forms of job creation that we could see."
- Bessent committed to implementing an in-office policy for Treasury employees: "As we saw from the December 8th hack by some Chinese entities into the Treasury Department, which was very serious — that was through a work-from-home software app ... I support a return-to-the-office."
- Bessent blasted Democrats' hypocrisy: "I would note that President Biden gave the Presidential Medal of Freedom to two people I think would qualify as his 'oligarchs.'"

President Trump Secures Gaza Ceasefire Deal January 15, 2024
Make no mistake: it was President Donald J. Trump and his historic electoral victory that drove the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal. While Biden attempts to claim credit for the "framework" he introduced last summer, a deal could only be accomplished after President Trump and his Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, intervened.
President Trump repeatedly said there would be "hell to pay" if the hostages weren't released before he took office — and this agreement is a reflection of President Trump's unwavering commitment to securing America's interests, protecting our allies, and ensuring American strength prevails.
Don't take it from us:
- Biden State Department spokesman Matthew Miller: "When it comes to the involvement of President-elect Trump's team, it's been absolutely critical in getting this deal over the line."
- Office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this evening with US President-elect Donald Trump and thanked him for his assistance in advancing the release of the hostages and for helping Israel bring an end to the suffering of dozens of hostages and their families."
- The New York Times: "Mr. Trump's threat that 'all hell' would break loose if no deal was reached before his inauguration on Monday might have helped motivate Hamas's leadership to make final decisions."
- The Washington Post: "A diplomat briefed on the ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas credited progress in the talks in part to the influence of Trump..."
- Bloomberg's Marc Champion: "He will get much of the credit if this marks the end of what has been a brutal war — and he'll deserve it."
- The Wall Street Journal: "The Biden administration has spent months on negotiations, but Trump might have pushed it over the line."
- The Times of Israel: "Arab officials: Trump envoy swayed Netanyahu more in one meeting than Biden did all year"
- Just the News: "Top Qatari official says Trump and his envoy pushed Hamas ceasefire deal 'over the line'"
- The Independent: "Trump credited for ceasefire breakthrough as US officials who resigned over Gaza war slam Biden’s inaction"
- Financial Times: "The US president-elect's belligerent tone had the desired effect, adding momentum to long-stalled talks and culminating with Israel and Hamas agreeing on Wednesday to a ceasefire deal halting the devastating 15-month war in Gaza and freeing the 98 remaining captives held in the strip."
- The Washington Post's Ishaan Tharoor: "The successful brokering of a deal can be chalked up to Trump's imminent return to office."
President Trump believes in peace through strength — and this is only the beginning.

Pam Bondi Hits Home Run At Confirmation Hearing January 15, 2024
Today, Pam Bondi demonstrated exactly why she is an excellent choice to serve as the next Attorney General of the United States. Her impressive experience, poise, intellect, and passion for the law were obvious — even as Democrats embarrassed themselves with their terminal cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Here are the top moments you missed:
- Bondi introduced herself to the American people: "If confirmed, I will fight every day to restore confidence and integrity to the Department of Justice and each of its components. The partisanship, the weaponization will be gone. America will have ONE TIER of justice for all."
- Bondi pledged to stop the weaponization of government: "Going after parents at a school board meeting has got to stop ... sending informants into Catholic churches MUST stop."
- Bondi touted her impressive record as a prosecutor.
- Bondi roasted Democrat Dick Blumenthal: "I need to clarify something that you said — that I have to sit up here and say these things. No, I don't. I sit up here and speak the truth."
- Bondi pledged to fairly and faithfully uphold the law: "So help me God."
- Bondi defended Kash Patel as the next FBI Director: "Kash Patel has had 60 jury trials as a public defender, as a prosecutor. He has great experience in the intel department. I have known Kash and I believe that Kash is the right person at this time for this job."
- Bondi wrecked Democrat Alex Padilla over his disgusting treatment of her: "I'm not going to be bullied by you."
- Bondi shut down Pencil Neck Adam Schiff: "I'm not going to mislead this body, nor you. You were censured by Congress for comments like these."
- Bondi scorched Biden's commutations of the death sentences of convicted killers: "The pardons, the commutations that Joe Biden just made were abhorrent to me — absolutely abhorrent — taking people off death row. I looked at the facts in many of those cases and they were so troubling to me."

ICYMI: Big Support For Pam Bondi As Attorney General January 15, 2024
Law enforcement officers, state Attorneys General, and Department of Justice officials from both parties agree: Pam Bondi is historically qualified to serve as Attorney General.
Fox News, 01/06/25
The letter praised Bondi's work as Florida's attorney general, where she led an aggressive crackdown on opioid drugs and the many "pill mills" operating in the state when she took office. They also praised what they described as Bondi's "national reputation" for her work to end human trafficking, and prosecuting violent crime in the state.
Officials also emphasized Bondi's other achievements in Florida, where she secured consumer protection victories and economic relief on behalf of residents in the Sunshine State. After the 2008 financial crisis, her work leading the National Mortgage Settlement resulted in $56 billion in compensation to victims, the letter said — and in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, Bondi's lawsuit against BP and other companies responsible resulted in a $2 billion settlement in economic relief.
The Hill, 01/06/25
The nation's largest police union endorsed Pam Bondi, President-elect Trump's pick for attorney general, ahead of her confirmation hearings in the Senate.
In a letter to the Trump transition team first shared with The Hill, Patrick Yoes, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, expressed "strong support" for Bondi and said she was "a longtime ally of the FOP" from when she served as Florida’s attorney general.
Fox News, 01/09/2025
The letter praised what signatories described as Bondi’s "unwavering" commitment to public safety and the rule of law in her time in the Sunshine State, where she sought to crack down on violent crime, protect consumers and combat the opioid crisis— which was at its height when she was elected as attorney general in 2010.
Bondi "was and remains a valued and respected member of the State Attorney General community," they wrote. "Thus, we are confident that she will serve with distinction as United States Attorney General."

- Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL): "Pete Hegseth is a 20-year combat veteran who earned two bronze stars and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I can’t think of a better person to represent our 1.3 million+ active military personnel."
- Senator Mike Lee (R-UT): ".@PeteHegseth = what DOD needs"
- Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND): "Mr. Hegseth is not the extremist. The people who would deny him an expression of faith are the extremists. They're the racists. They're the bigots. @PeteHegseth is the one who's protecting their right to be one. Thank you for that."
- Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK): "From day one, the Biden administration played up a false and insulting narrative that our military—one of the greatest civil rights organizations in U.S. history—is chock-full of racists and extremists. Today, @PeteHegseth committed to defending, not denigrating, our troops."
- Senator Rick Scott (R-FL): "I have the utmost confidence in @PeteHegseth's ability to lead our Department of Defense. He has the right motives, the right qualifications, and the right agenda. I will be voting YES on his confirmation."
- Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK): "Decorated combat vet @PeteHegseth was extremely impressive today. I'm not just voting YES, I'll fight to get his nomination across the finish line."
- Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN): "Pete Hegseth has been subject to an onslaught of unwarranted and unsubstantiated attacks. I am honored to stand by him and support his nomination."
- Senator Jim Banks (R-IN): ".@PeteHegseth is knocking this out of the park so far and Democrats are having a hard time challenging him. Pete is going to be a great Secretary of Defense and the world is seeing right now why @realDonaldTrump tapped him for the job!"
- Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY): "Pete Hegseth’s extensive service to our nation makes him uniquely qualified to serve as Defense Secretary. We need to build a U.S. military the American people can be proud of, and Pete Hegseth will be the one to do it"
- Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN): "Pete Hegseth is the right person to lead and bring reform to the Pentagon. I’m proud to support my friend and fellow Tennessean, and I know he will do a great job today making his case to the American people."
- Senator John Cornyn (R-TX): "The Pentagon needs shaking up from the dangerous status quo, and I’m confident Pete will do just that."
- Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO): "I think Pete Hegseth did a great job today. I think he's sailing towards a confirmation. I think we're going to do it quickly."
- National Security Advisor-designate Mike Waltz: "We have someone with an unconventional background who's not a defense industry executive, who's not a former general — I say good! That's a good thing. It's time for REFORM in the Pentagon."
- Gen. Barry McCaffrey (ret.): "He is Princeton-educated, he's smart, he's articulate, he does know a ton about national security issues as a commentator on TV and he conducted himself very well in his four-hour plus hearing ... This guy is going to get confirmed."
- Former NSC Senior Director Michael Allen: "What [Pete Hegseth] will be is the soldier's secretary."
- Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer: "Pete Hegseth is crushing it. It is refreshing to hear someone relentlessly focus on warriors and lethality, without playing Washington’s word-salad game of forcing nominees to talk like social workers who run government agencies."
- CNN's Scott Jennings: "Pete Hegseth kicked their asses today. It wasn't even close. They didn't even lay a glove on Hegseth ... The Democrats on the committee acted in such a bizarre and unprofessional way."
- Townhall's Katie Pavlich: "Pete Hegseth answered a lot of questions today, including very uncomfortable, personal questions ... He talked about how he is a changed man. He thanked his wife and his family and people around him for supporting him — and he had a room full of veterans who were there supporting his leadership skills."
- The Washington Examiner's Byron York: "Hegseth hearing now in third hour. Going well for Hegseth. Dems flailing. Questioning on women in military fizzled, especially Gillibrand's agitated speechifying. Finally got down and dirty with Hirono and particularly Kaine. Don't think it worked. Hegseth effective throughout."
- Fox News's Will Cain: "This man is crushing it."
- Megyn Kelly: "Pete Hegseth crushed it today and no one laid a glove on him, despite some odd hysterics by some of those trying."
- Piers Morgan: "If I was in the United States military watching @PeteHegseth's confirmation hearing testimony today, I'd be very happy he's going to be Defense Secretary. Very impressive under fire - smart, calm, informed, & combative where necessary."

Road to 47 - January 14, 2025 January 14, 2025
January 14, 2025
Contact: Tommy Pigott and Eric Leyden, Team Trump
“WARRIOR ETHOS” – Today, in his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, Pete Hegseth showed the American people why President Trump nominated him as our next Secretary of Defense.Despite disgusting and unhinged lines of questioning from committee Democrats, Hegseth's intellect, passion, professionalism, and love of country were on full display.
Team Trump Rapid Response has what you missed:
- Hegseth dismantled the coordinated smear campaign against him: “A small handful of anonymous sources were allowed to drive a smear campaign and agenda about me because our left-wing media in America today, sadly, doesn't care about the truth. All they were out to do, Mr. Chairman, was to destroy me. And why do they want to destroy me? Because I'm a change agent and a threat to them.”
- Hegseth decried the lack of accountability for Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal: “There has been NO accountability for the disaster of the withdrawal in Afghanistan – and that's precisely why we're here today... Leadership has been unwilling to take accountability and it's time to restore that to our most senior ranks.”
- Hegseth outlined his mission to restore the “Warrior Ethos” to the Pentagon: “In doing so, we will reestablish trust in our military.”
- Hegseth crystalized the incoming Trump administration's focus: “[President Trump], like me, wants a Pentagon laser focused on lethality, meritocracy, war fighting, accountability and readiness.”
- Hegseth addressed his qualifications: “It is true that I don't have a similar biography to defense secretaries of the last 30 years... We've repeatedly placed people atop the Pentagon with supposedly 'the right credentials' — whether they are retired generals, academics, or defense contractor executives, and where has it gotten us?”
- Hegseth blasted political Pentagon leadership: “Politics has nothing to do with the battlefield, which is why President Trump has asked me to say, 'Let's make sure all of that comes out.' This is about warfighting capability, setting standards high, and making sure we give our men and women everything they need to be successful on the battlefield.”
- Hegseth repeatedly emphasized the importance of high standards: “Ensuring that standards are equal and high is of importance to [President Trump] and of great importance to me — because in those ground combat roles, what is true is that the weight of the ruck on your back doesn't change.”
- Hegseth directly addressed women who serve in the military: “I'm incredibly grateful for the two women who've served our military in uniform [on the committee]... When I'm talking about that issue, it's not about the capabilities of men and women, it's about standards... standards that we, unfortunately over time, have seen eroded in certain duty positions, in certain schools, in certain places.”
- Hegseth pledged to reinstate service members unfairly dismissed for refusing the COVID vaccine: “In President Trump's Defense Department, they will be apologized to, they will be reinstituted with pay and rank.”
- Hegseth emphasized the strategic importance of fiscal responsibility: “An audit is an issue of national security, and frankly respect to American taxpayers, who give $850 billion over to the Defense Department and expect that we know where that money goes... I think previous Secretaries of Defense, with all due respect, haven't necessarily emphasized the strategic prerogative of an audit.”
- Hegseth described President Trump's support for military: “Our warfighters understand what commander-in-chief they're going to get with President Trump: someone who stands behind them, someone who gives them clear missions, someone who ends wars decisively.”

CONFIRM PETE HEGSETH – There's a reason Pete Hegseth has earned broad support across Capitol Hill and beyond. Hegseth is a decorated veteran who served tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and guard at Guantanamo Bay – and was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge for his service. He has two Ivy League degrees and has spent his career advocating on behalf of veterans.
Team Trump Rapid Response has the rundown on what they're saying:
- Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY): “Pete Hegseth is a strong nominee to lead the Department of Defense. We had an excellent discussion about the need for America's military to remain the best in the world. That means taking care of our service members, equipping them with the latest technology, and focusing on making our military the most lethal force on the planet. Pete pledged that the Pentagon will focus on strength and hard power – not the current administration's woke political agenda.”
- Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK): “I think he's perfect. He's a decorated combat veteran. He's got two Bronze Stars, 20 years in service… The guy is a solid, solid individual. He's the right man for the job.”
- Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA): “I think he is going to be a very strong secretary of defense.”
- Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN): “Pete is a warrior, an advocate for veterans, and a well qualified nominee. He will put our enemies on notice and make our military great again.”
- Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS): “I think he's going to be in pretty good shape.”
- Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN): “I had an outstanding meeting with Pete Hegseth, a decorated combat veteran who put his own life on the line for America. Pete knows that the Defense Secretary’s job is to empower the men and women of our military to carry out their patriotic duty, not consign them to serve as political pawns in a broken Washington. A great choice by @realDonaldTrump to change Washington, and I look forward to supporting his confirmation.”
- Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL): “Pete is 100% committed to building a lethal military that's feared by our enemies & respected by our allies, while doing more to take care of those who serve our nation & their families. He will do a great job leading the @DeptofDefense.”
- Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC): “[Hegseth is] an impressive individual… I'm certainly going to support President Trump and his agenda and his nominees.”
- Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL): “At Defense, [President Trump] tapped Pete Hegseth, a veteran who served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His Ivy League-educated, businessman background – that's what we need in the Pentagon right now.”
- Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND): “I think he's great.”
- Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS): “Pete Hegseth has my full-throated support… He will be a transformational figure.”
- Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN): “I fully support Pete Hegseth. He is eminently more qualified than Secretary Austin… who disappeared on the job, who instructed the disastrous, deadly withdrawal of Afghanistan, and created a woke political mess at the Pentagon that Pete is going to clean up.”
- Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD): “I think his focus on what he wants to do with the Department of Defense is the right one ... bringing back the lethal approach ... and getting rid of all the DEI crap.”
- Speaker Mike Johnson: “Pete brings a lot to the table. He's got experience, and I think he'll be reform-minded in the areas that need reform.”
And it's not just on Capitol Hill. Those who served with Hegseth say he's the man for the job:
- Derek McCall: “…the Department of Defense needs a proven leader. It needs someone who has a deep understanding of service, sacrifice, and the American warrior spirit. Pete Hegseth is exactly the man for the job.”
- Eric Geressy: “He breathes the military. That’s all he talks about. Pete's extremely smart. He’s very articulate, he’s a critical thinker, and he’s going to learn from the experts and get a lot of good information from folks.”
- Chip Rankin: “He was going through a vehicle that got blown up, and there were dead people, people that were fighting through our lives. And Pete went right into that situation, and performed admirably in a very, very challenging situation… He could have been killed, and he never hesitated.”
- Jurandir “J” Araujo: “I immediately noticed his dedication and commitment to the mission, and not only to the mission but to his men.”

“AMERICA’S SECURITY DEPENDS ON IT” – Sen. Eric Schmitt penned an op-ed on why “it’s time to confirm Pete Hegseth.”
Some highlights:
- “With the experience of having served in combat, Pete understands the harsh realities of war and knows which reforms are necessary to reduce its human and financial toll. The American people are exhausted with empty promises and ineffective leadership, and Pete’s sacrifice and service exemplify the commitment and vision America desperately needs.”
- “I fully support Pete’s nomination to lead the Department of Defense. Pete will restore the Pentagon’s standing as one of the world’s most respected institutions and resolve its longstanding procurement issues. Pete is also committed to eliminating dangerous and costly ‘wokeness’ from our military institutions while restoring strength, trust, and respect – values I strongly support.”
- “There is frankly no one better to lead our military and veterans. More than 100 Navy SEAL veterans support Pete’s nomination. His two decades of military service, two Bronze Stars, Ivy League education, and outspoken advocacy for military reform make him uniquely qualified. Why would some Senate members want to delay the confirmation of a man with over 20 years of distinguished military service? How could anyone oppose a two-Bronze Star-decorated Army Combat Veteran, an Ivy League graduate, and a passionate advocate for military reform?”
- “Pete Hegseth understands our military cannot be some grand social experiment. Serving the United States needs to be the core mission of our armed forces first and foremost, not being pawns in cultural battles. Toxic ideologies like Critical Race Theory have unnecessarily overshadowed military readiness and capability, sowing division when unity is needed most.”
- “Confirming Pete Hegseth means safeguarding America’s sovereignty and American lives – on our soil, on our terms – not surrendering to the whims of our enemies. This decision isn’t just about today; it’s about securing a stronger, safer future of America for generations to come.”

“A GOOD MAN, FATHER, FRIEND AND PATRIOT” – Women who have worked and known Pete Hegseth are rallying behind his nomination for Secretary of Defense.
Here’s some of what they have to say:
- Mary Vought, who worked alongside Hegseth at Concerned Veterans for America: “I worked closely with Pete Hegseth at Concerned Veterans for America and traveled with him for media outreach. When you’re a woman in a field dominated by men, sometimes you get treated differently, but Pete never did that. During our time working together, he always conducted business with the utmost professionalism and respect.”
- Gold Star mother Karen Vaughn, mother of SOC Aaron Vaughn: “In a world of duplicity, it’s rare to find a soul as sincere… as profoundly genuine as Pete. When you are blessed enough to honestly know him, you know the truth about him. His word is his bond. He’s a man of integrity, a patriot who dearly loves his country, but most importantly, a man who truly loves people.
- Rachel Campos Duffy: “[Hegseth is a] good man, father, friend and patriot… He is also the best colleague you could wish for in my profession – the rare person who is always kind, generous, loyal and self-sacrificing…He will make America proud.”
- Concerned Veterans for America’s Tina R. Kingston, LTC(R): “After working for and with Pete Hegseth for two years, I feel that I can testify to his work ethic, patriotism to our Great Nation, leadership, and his character…It was a pleasure to have worked for Pete and I wish him success when he is confirmed as the Department of Defense Secretary.”
- Holly K. Talley, former local director in Louisiana for Concerned Veterans for America: “He was the very definition of a leader, a gentleman and had a clear passion for effecting change for our nation’s heroes and warfighters. He was not just another walking talking point that lacked substance. He was a genuine leader that was walking the walk.”
- Judy Mayka, a former colleague of Hegseth at Vets for Freedom: “[Hegseth is] transparent, ethical, fair and fostered an environment of respect among the team regardless of race, gender or background.”

THE COMBAT VETERANS’ CHOICE – A new op-ed describes why Pete Hegseth is the “combat veterans’ choice” for Secretary of Defense.
From the op-ed:
- “When President-elect Donald Trump secured a second and final term, he promised to transform Washington and deconstruct the bureaucratic state that fosters inefficiency and mediocrity. The nomination of Pete Hegseth to serve as the next secretary of defense does just that.”
- “As a military combat veteran, a strong advocate for combat veterans, and a transformative leader, Mr. Hegseth possesses the skills, vision, and experience needed to guide the Department of Defense through a critical time in our nation’s security landscape.”
- “Mr. Hegseth is a natural fit for the role of secretary of defense. His military experience, advocacy for veterans, and transformational leadership are qualities that will serve the Department of Defense—and the nation—well. Having worked with him personally, I have no doubt that he will approach the role with the same dedication and integrity he has shown throughout his career. He understands the importance of maintaining a strong military, supporting our veterans, and ensuring that the United States remains a global leader in defense.”
- “His confirmation as secretary of defense is not just a logical choice; it is the right one for the future of our armed forces and our country.”

Pete Hegseth’s Qualifications On Full Display At Senate Hearing January 14, 2024
Today, in his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, Pete Hegseth showed the American people why President Trump nominated him as our next Secretary of Defense. Despite disgusting and unhinged lines of questioning from committee Democrats, Hegseth's intellect, passion, professionalism, and love of country were on full display.
Here's what you missed:
- Hegseth dismantled the coordinated smear campaign against him: "A small handful of anonymous sources were allowed to drive a smear campaign and agenda about me because our left-wing media in America today, sadly, doesn't care about the truth. All they were out to do, Mr. Chairman, was to destroy me. And why do they want to destroy me? Because I'm a change agent and a threat to them."
- Hegseth decried the lack of accountability for Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal: "There has been NO accountability for the disaster of the withdrawal in Afghanistan — and that's precisely why we're here today ... Leadership has been unwilling to take accountability and it's time to restore that to our most senior ranks."
- Hegseth outlined his mission to restore the "Warrior Ethos" to the Pentagon: "In doing so, we will reestablish trust in our military."
- Hegseth crystalized the incoming Trump administration's focus: "[President Trump], like me, wants a Pentagon laser focused on lethality, meritocracy, war fighting, accountability and readiness."
- Hegseth addressed his qualifications: "It is true that I don't have a similar biography to defense secretaries of the last 30 years ... We've repeatedly placed people atop the Pentagon with supposedly 'the right credentials' — whether they are retired generals, academics, or defense contractor executives, and where has it gotten us?"
- Hegseth blasted political Pentagon leadership: "Politics has nothing to do with the battlefield, which is why President Trump has asked me to say, 'Let's make sure all of that comes out.' This is about warfighting capability, setting standards high, and making sure we give our men and women everything they need to be successful on the battlefield."
- Hegseth repeatedly emphasized the importance of high standards: "Ensuring that standards are equal and high is of importance to [President Trump] and of great importance to me — because in those ground combat roles, what is true is that the weight of the ruck on your back doesn't change."
- Hegseth directly addressed women who serve in the military: "I'm incredibly grateful for the two women who've served our military in uniform [on the committee] ... When I'm talking about that issue, it's not about the capabilities of men and women, it's about standards ... standards that we, unfortunately over time, have seen eroded in certain duty positions, in certain schools, in certain places."
- Hegseth pledged to reinstate service members unfairly dismissed for refusing the COVID vaccine: "In President Trump's Defense Department, they will be apologized to, they will be reinstituted with pay and rank."
- Hegseth emphasized the strategic importance of fiscal responsibility: "An audit is an issue of national security, and frankly respect to American taxpayers, who give $850 billion over to the Defense Department and expect that we know where that money goes ... I think previous Secretaries of Defense, with all due respect, haven't necessarily emphasized the strategic prerogative of an audit."
- Hegseth described President Trump's support for military: "Our warfighters understand what commander-in-chief they're going to get with President Trump: someone who stands behind them, someone who gives them clear missions, someone who ends wars decisively."

Pete Hegseth Will Return “Warrior Ethos” To Pentagon January 14, 2024
As he begins his confirmation hearings on Capitol Hill, Pete Hegseth, President Donald J. Trump's nominee for Secretary of Defense, is ready to demonstrate why he is exceptionally qualified for the job.
There's a reason he has already earned broad support across Capitol Hill and beyond. Hegseth is a decorated veteran who served tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and guard at Guantanamo Bay — and was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge for his service. He has two Ivy League degrees and has spent his career advocating on behalf of veterans.
Here's what they're saying:
- Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY): "Pete Hegseth is a strong nominee to lead the Department of Defense. We had an excellent discussion about the need for America's military to remain the best in the world. That means taking care of our service members, equipping them with the latest technology, and focusing on making our military the most lethal force on the planet. Pete pledged that the Pentagon will focus on strength and hard power — not the current administration's woke political agenda."
- Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK): "I think he's perfect. He's a decorated combat veteran. He's got two Bronze Stars, 20 years in service ... The guy is a solid, solid individual. He's the right man for the job."
- Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA): "I think he is going to be a very strong secretary of defense."
- Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN): "Pete is a warrior, an advocate for veterans, and a well qualified nominee. He will put our enemies on notice and make our military great again."
- Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS): "I think he's going to be in pretty good shape."
- Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN): "I had an outstanding meeting with Pete Hegseth, a decorated combat veteran who put his own life on the line for America. Pete knows that the Defense Secretary’s job is to empower the men and women of our military to carry out their patriotic duty, not consign them to serve as political pawns in a broken Washington. A great choice by @realDonaldTrump to change Washington, and I look forward to supporting his confirmation."
- Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL): "Pete is 100% committed to building a lethal military that's feared by our enemies & respected by our allies, while doing more to take care of those who serve our nation & their families. He will do a great job leading the @DeptofDefense."
- Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC): "[Hegseth is] an impressive individual ... I'm certainly going to support President Trump and his agenda and his nominees."
- Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL): "At Defense, [President Trump] tapped Pete Hegseth, a veteran who served two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His Ivy League-educated, businessman background — that's what we need in the Pentagon right now."
- Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND): "I think he's great."
- Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS): "Pete Hegseth has my full-throated support ... He will be a transformational figure."
- Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN): "I fully support Pete Hegseth. He is eminently more qualified than secretary Austin… who disappeared on the job, who instructed the disastrous, deadly withdrawal of Afghanistan, and created a woke political mess at the pentagon that pete is going to clean up."
- Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD): "I think his focus on what he wants to do with the Department of Defense is the right one ... bringing back the lethal approach ... and getting rid of all the DEI crap."
- Speaker Mike Johnson: "Pete brings a lot to the table. He's got experience, and I think he'll be reform-minded in the areas that need reform."
And it's not just on Capitol Hill. Those who served with Hegseth say he's the man for the job:
- Derek McCall: "...the Department of Defense needs a proven leader. It needs someone who has a deep understanding of service, sacrifice, and the American warrior spirit. Pete Hegseth is exactly the man for the job."
- Eric Geressy: "He breathes the military. That’s all he talks about. Pete's extremely smart. He’s very articulate, he’s a critical thinker, and he’s going to learn from the experts and get a lot of good information from folks."
- Chip Rankin: "He was going through a vehicle that got blown up, and there were dead people, people that were fighting through our lives. And Pete went right into that situation, and performed admirably in a very, very challenging situation ... He could have been killed, and he never hesitated."
- Jurandir "J" Araujo: "I immediately noticed his dedication and commitment to the mission, and not only to the mission but to his men."
- President Donald J. Trump

STATEMENT ON THE HOAX WITCH HUNT – President Donald J. Trump issued the following Truth on the hoax witch hunt and his mandate to restore our justice system.
As President Trump said, “the real Jury, the American People, have spoken, by Re-Electing me with an overwhelming MANDATE in one of the most consequential Elections in History…Today’s event was a despicable charade, and now that it is over, we will appeal this Hoax, which has no merit, and restore the trust of Americans in our once great System of Justice.”
DEBUNKING JOE BIDEN – Crooked Joe Biden sat down with USA TODAY for an exit interview before he leaves office in disgrace.
As Team Trump Rapid Response pointed out, “It was part delusion, part fabrication – and all incoherent.”
Team Trump set the record straight:
- CLAIM: “That's why I worked so damn hard to get Japan and the Quad worked out with India, Japan, Australia, the United States.”
- CLAIM: “The interest rate was 9% when we came into office in the beginning. It was down to 2.34% now. So I would argue that inflation was worldwide."
- FACT: Biden is talking about inflation, not interest rates, but he's still wrong – and it's a lie he has repeatedly told. Inflation was 1.4% when Biden took office.
- CLAIM: “I diminished the direct conflict with major adversaries."
- FACT: Biden's disastrous foreign policy led to escalated conflict and instability around the world – and ushering in the conditions for Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the October 7th attack on Israel, and an unprecedented number of U.S. embassy evacuations worldwide. It wouldn't have happened under Trump.
- CLAIM: “We increased employment by 16 million people.”
- FACT: The majority of the jobs Biden “created” were jobs from President Trump's first term that were recovered from the pandemic. After revisions, Biden has only created about 6.1 million jobs.
- CLAIM: “I knew how much inflation was affecting their lives...”
- FACT: Biden repeatedly, and falsely, insisted inflation was “transitory” – until it was far too late. Meanwhile, economists (including a former Obama-Biden treasury secretary) blame the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan as inflation's “original sin.”
- CLAIM: “I think yes, based on the polling that [I would have won the election].
- FACT: That isn't even close to what the polling said, which showed Biden was on track to lose in an historic landslide.
- CLAIM: “I think if he moves on the tax cuts of $5 trillion, I think if he moves on dealing with increasing tariffs across the board, all they are is increasing cost of consumers in America.”
- FACT: If President Trump's successful tax cuts are not re-authorized, 207 million American taxpayers will see an average tax hike of 22% — while President Trump's tariffs will protect the American worker.
- CLAIM: “Wages are up.”
- FACT: Real average weekly earnings are down 3% since Biden took office.
- CLAIM: “It has attracted over 11, excuse me, a trillion dollars in private sector investment.”
- FACT: It's not $1 trillion – and those aren't actual investments.
- CLAIM: “Yet the president comes along...and says, 'It's clear. It's an invasion from the South. All these immigrants are causing all this problem.’”
- FACT: An unprecedented number of terrorists and criminals have entered the country through Biden's open border as the terrorists worldwide have become increasingly emboldened following Biden's disastrous foreign policy.
- CLAIM: “I work like hell.”
- FACT: Biden has taken more vacation than any president in modern history, spending nearly 40% of his entire presidency on vacation.

“A TRUE DISASTER” – In case you missed it, President Trump issued the following Truths on the wildfires devastating southern California, and the utterly incompetent “leadership” from Democrats in D.C. and California.

CONFIRM PETE HEGSETH – The Washington Free Beacon editorial board recently called on the Senate to confirm Pete Hegseth for Defense Secretary.
From the editorial:
- “Hegseth brings impressive academic credentials combined with real-world experience – in his case, a distinguished record of service in the Army, where he did tours in Guantanamo Bay and Iraq that earned him two Bronze Stars.”
- “He has given us a window since his nomination in mid-November into how and why he has endeared himself to Trump, demonstrating an ability to push back and shut down false narratives in the press…By his own admission, Hegseth is not a bureaucrat or a typical striver who has led his life with an eye toward career advancement.”
- “At the Pentagon, he said, ‘rebuilding the culture of our military’ in order to ‘get back to war fighting, lethality, and meritocracy and accountability and readiness' will be the order of the day, adding, ‘The motto of my first platoon I ever led was ‘Those who long for peace must prepare for war.’ That's another way of saying ‘peace through strength.’ And we need to look like we are prepared to fight, and orient toward the threats today so that hopefully we can deter those wars.’”
- “We do indeed. And if deterrence fails, we will need a defense secretary with the confidence of the president, a will to fight, and the courage to never give in. Hegseth is the man for the job.”

“THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR LABOR SECRETARY” – A new op-ed explains why Lori Chavez-DeRemer is the right choice for Labor Secretary.
Some highlights.
- “President Trump crafted a bold new future for the Republican Party – and for the nation – as the real party of the working class. He laid the groundwork for America to reclaim its status as an industrial powerhouse, bolstered by strong families, thriving communities, and American prosperity. Now, to advance that vision, we need proven leaders at every level of government. This is where Lori Chavez-DeRemer steps in.”
- “Lori Chavez-DeRemer is the perfect choice for Labor Secretary under President Trump. She brings a unique and powerful combination of experience, relationships, and principles that make her ready to fight for America’s workers while driving economic growth. Lori has strong ties to the unions that power our nation’s workforce, and those relationships mean she understands how to collaborate with both workers and businesses to ensure prosperity for all.”
- “Her resume speaks for itself. Lori is not just a politician – she’s a business owner and an entrepreneur. She and her husband founded an anesthesia management company, and they went on to open several successful medical clinics in the Pacific Northwest. Lori understands firsthand the challenges of running a business, creating jobs, and balancing budgets.”
- “Lori’s record in Congress demonstrates her commitment to common sense, America First policies. She has consistently voted to uphold traditional Republican values while protecting jobs and ensuring economic growth.”
- “The choice is clear: Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor Secretary. She is prepared to take action, deliver for America’s working families, and rebuild our nation stronger than ever.”

ANGEL MOMS FOR KRISTI NOEM – Angel Moms are calling for the swift confirmation of Kristi Noem as DHS Secretary.
The details:
- “Angel Moms whose children were murdered by illegal aliens or poisoned by fentanyl are calling for the rapid confirmation of Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).”
- “‘My beautiful daughter Kayla had just turned 20 years old only three days before her life was taken by an illegal alien who should never have been allowed into the country,’ Nobles said in a statement to Breitbart News. ‘He should have been easily identified as a member of the MS-13 gang with a criminal record in El Salvador, but he got in.’”
- “‘He made his way to Maryland and raped and murdered my baby,’ Nobles emphasized. ‘We need people in charge who will fix the system that allows monsters like this to kill American citizens. We need Gov. Noem as Secretary and we need the whole Trump team in place.’”
- “‘Weston gave into peer pressure – just once was enough – and took one pill he didn’t know was laced with fentanyl,’ Fundner continued. ‘It is imperative that Gov. Noem and the rest of President Trump’s national security team are confirmed at the earliest opportunity. They have to fix this so that other families don’t suffer what we’ve suffered.’”
- “‘A third Angel Mom, Agnes Gibboney – whose 29-year-old son, Ronald Da Silva, was murdered by a previously deported illegal alien gang member in El Monte, California, in 2002 – also called for the quick confirmation of Noem and the rest of Trump’s team. ‘My son was just standing in a friend’s driveway when he was killed by a bullet fired by an illegal alien shooting at someone else,’ she told Breitbart News in a statement. ‘The murderer was a known gang member who had already been deported at least once, but had returned to the country illegally.’”
- “Gibboney told Breitbart News, ‘We’ve only ever had a secure border when Donald Trump was president, and we need him to do it again…That’s why he needs his whole team around him, and that starts with Kristi Noem,’ she added.”

ICYMI: Support Pours In For Pam Bondi As Attorney General January 09, 2024

BIDEN’S PARTING INSULTS – Crooked Joe Biden is determined to disgrace himself as much as possible as he heads for the exit in just two weeks.
As Team Trump Rapid Response explained, in the waning days of his lame duck presidency, Biden has aided murderers, hosed the taxpayers, and done everything in his power to make life more difficult for everyday Americans.
- Biden is banning certain natural gas water heaters as part of his deranged climate extremism – a move experts say will “jack up energy costs for low-income and senior households.”
- Biden banned offshore oil and gas drilling on 625 million acres of U.S. oceans – right after voters gave President Trump a popular vote mandate to increase drilling and lower gas prices.
- Biden removed mass murderers and child rapists from death row in an unprecedented move that was slammed by victims’ families – but ensuring his degenerate son received special treatment.
- Biden awarded the nation's highest civilian honor to far-left activists such as George Soros, who has spent billions destroying the fabric of America as Democrats’ biggest donor and is responsible for left-wing district attorneys allowing violent crime throughout the country.
- Biden is considering “preemptive pardons” to shield certain corrupt Democrats from accountability.
- Biden is melting down in front of reporters.
- Biden is bilking the taxpayers out of as much vacation as possible.
“At every turn,” says Politico's Jonathan Martin, “[Biden] has taken the path of the most indulgent turn for himself.”
Of course, Biden has always been an angry, bitter individual whose selfishness is outmatched only by a delusional sense of self-importance.
Mercifully, the national nightmare comes to an end in just two weeks – and the Golden Age of America will finally be upon us. For more information or to share, click here. |

“TULSI GABBARD HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON OUR SIDE” – As reported by the Washington Reporter, “the parents of former ISIS and al Qaeda hostages, and a former al Qaeda hostage, are backing President Donald Trump’s selection of Tulsi Gabbard to be his next Director of National Intelligence (DNI).”
The details:
- “The letter’s signatories are Carl and Marsha Mueller, the parents of Kayla Mueller, an aid worker who was taken hostage by ISIS and who was murdered by terrorists almost ten years ago, and Theo Padnos and his parents, Nancy Curtis and Michael Padnos. Theo was held hostage by al Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate for almost two years.”
- “The group, which knows all too well the barbarism of ISIS and al Qaeda, wants the Senate to quickly confirm Gabbard. ‘Given the threat that has lately surfaced in New Orleans, we feel that the sooner the senate confirms Tulsi Gabbard the better, as the nation needs leadership that will keep Americans safe,’ they wrote.”
- “Gabbard’s time in the Middle East, the Mullers and Padnoses believe, ‘has given her an understanding of this phenomenon which other policy makers simply do not have. She has been compassionate towards terrorism’s victims. She has been a fierce advocate for bringing its practitioners to justice.’”
- “‘All of us,’ they wrote, ‘have been in the position of needing information and connections in a country in which the American foreign policy apparatus has been unable to provide even the most basic forms of help.’”

PAM BONDI FOR AG – Over 100 former Department of Justice officials recently penned a letter urging the confirmation of Pam Bondi as Attorney General.
Fox News has the details:
- “Dozens of former Justice Department (DOJ) officials sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee Monday urging confirmation of President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, Pam Bondi, later this month – praising both her commitment to the rule of law and her track record as Florida’s former attorney general that they said makes her uniquely qualified for the role.”
- “The letter, previewed exclusively to Fox News Digital, was signed by more than 110 senior Justice Department officials who served under both Democratic and Republican administrations, including former U.S. attorneys general John Ashcroft, Jeff Sessions, Bill Barr and Edwin Meese.”
- “Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, deputy attorneys general Rod Rosenstein and Jeffrey Rosen, and Randy Grossman, who served as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California under the Biden administration, are among the other notable signatories.”
- “‘As a career prosecutor, Attorney General Bondi will be ready from the first day on the job to fight on behalf of the American people to reduce crime, tackle the opioid crisis, back the women and men in blue, and restore credibility to the Department of Justice,’ they wrote in the letter sent to Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Dick Durbin, D-Ill.”

NATIONAL SHERIFFS' ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS PATEL FOR FBI – As Fox News reports, The National Sheriffs' Association (NSA) has endorsed Kash Patel for FBI Director.
Some highlights:
- “‘We are pleased to give our enthusiastic endorsement of Mr. Patel’s nomination to be the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and urge the Committee hold hearings expeditiously. We believe there will be broad support for Mr. Patel and we look forward to his swift confirmation by the full United States Senate,’ NSA President Kieran Donahue wrote in a letter Monday to Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the chair and ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, respectively.”
- “The NSA is a professional association that boasts roughly 10,000 active members. The letter marks the first time the NSA has ever endorsed a president's pick to lead the FBI.”

“THE STAKES COULDN'T BE HIGHER” – A new op-ed explains why Kristi Noem is the Homeland Security Director America’s moms need.
From the op-ed:
- “As America contemplates the next Director of Homeland Security, the stakes couldn't be higher, especially for moms who are at the heart of family safety and community well-being. We need a leader who understands the complexities of security but also the daily realities of family life.”
- “Moms should care because Noem's approach to emergency preparedness would mean better disaster management, ensuring our families are ready for whatever crisis might come next, from natural disasters to public health emergencies. Her focus on child safety, particularly with unaccompanied minors and school security, speaks directly to our concerns about our children's well-being.
- “Noem has shown us what leadership looks like under pressure. Facing criticism head-on, she has never shied away from making tough decisions or standing by her convictions. This resilience is crucial for the Director of Homeland Security, where every decision can be politically charged, and only the strongest resolve will serve our nation's interests.”
- “America could use a Mother’s perspective on protecting children.”

ANOTHER WIN: President Trump Announces $20 Billion Investment In U.S. January 07, 2024
Today, President Donald J. Trump joined DAMAC Properties CEO Hussain Sajwani to announce a new $20 billion investment in the United States. The investment, which will employ thousands of American workers, will build new data centers in Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana.
It's called the "TRUMP EFFECT."
Today's announcement is only the latest investment made in America following President Trump's resounding electoral victory. Last month, Softbank announced a $100 billion investment over the next four years — promising 100,000+ new American jobs in Artificial Intelligence and related critical infrastructure.
It's all part of President Trump's commitment to ushering in the Golden Age of America and American business. Centered around his Made in America agenda — which incentivizes companies that make their products in America with American workers — President Trump's pledge to cut taxes, slash regulations, raise wages, and boost incomes will ensure the United States is best positioned to lead the future of innovation.
The best is yet to come.

Road To 47 - January 3, 2025 January 03, 2025
January 03, 2025
Contact: Tommy Pigott and Eric Leyden, Team Trump
SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON – After President Trump’s historic victory in November – in which he earned a historic mandate from the American people by not only winning the White House, but also Republican majorities in the House and Senate – the Republican Party is more united than ever to enact his agenda to Make America Great Again!
The vote to name Speaker Mike Johnson the Speaker of the House following President Trump’s strong endorsement reaffirmed it!
President Trump is ready to lead America into a new Golden Age – supported by the House, the Senate, and tens of millions of Americans around the country!
In the words of President Trump, “We will all be working together with total benefit going to the people of our nation. Our country will be run with strength and common sense again… America is back.”
UNDER BIDEN, AMERICA UNDER THREAT – The horrific terrorist attacks this week show the increased national security threat our country faces from terror after four years of Joe Biden’s failed administration.
- As reported by the Washington Times last year, the “Terror Threat Snapshot” compiled by the House Homeland Security Committee “[laid] out in disturbing detail the number of jihadist cases in the U.S. over just the past three years and shines a spotlight on how so-called ‘soft targets’ inside America could be vulnerable to terror attacks. The report…also pointedly fault[ed] the administration for what it says has been a ‘weak’ and inadequate response to the danger in recent years … The disturbing cases at home come at the same time that terror groups abroad are gaining strength, potentially giving them the resources and the motivation to more aggressively target America.”
Because of Biden’s weakness, the terror threat against the U.S. homeland has skyrocketed. It’s part of a broader picture of failed policies from the Biden administration that undermine the security of the United States.
The Border
According to a report from NBC News, “the Department of Homeland Security has identified over 400 immigrants who have come to the U.S. from Central Asia and elsewhere as ‘subjects of concern’ because they were brought by an ISIS-affiliated human smuggling network.” Concerningly, at least 50 were at large for months in the United States after the Biden administration released them into the country.
Further, a report from the DHS Inspector General called out Biden’s woefully inadequate vetting procedures. This concern is not new; border experts have been sounding the alarm for years. They have noted that the ability to vet illegal aliens from countries with conditions that pose a threat to national security – otherwise known as “special interest countries” – simply does not exist. Their warnings went unheeded by the Biden administration.
And these are just the illegal aliens Biden has purposefully released into our communities, saying nothing of the approximately 2 million known “gotaways” who have crossed the border and escaped into the U.S. since Biden took office. Astonishingly (or at least it would be if willful incompetence wasn’t the norm), Biden’s impeached DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is still claiming success.
Iran
By reversing President Trump’s successful “maximum pressure” policy, Biden has filled Iran’s coffers. On his watch, Iran’s foreign reserves have grown by tens of billions of dollars as his administration has either waved or refused to fully enforce sanctions on the regime. As a result, the largest state-sponsor of terror has empowered their proxies to launch terror attacks on the U.S., our interests, and our allies, including the heinous Hamas attack on October 7th. Iran itself even directly attacked Israel.
These attacks – over 160 against U.S. forces in just a matter of months – killed three U.S. servicemembers and injured over 100. One proxy, the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists, has increased their attacks to such an extent as to pose a major threat to international shipping. Two U.S. servicemembers died trying to intercept weapon shipments to the Houthis.
Even as Iran continued to send arms and intelligence to these proxies, Biden refused to reinstate President Trump’s “maximum pressure” policy.
Afghanistan
Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal was the worst foreign policy catastrophe in a generation.
Among the failures was Biden’s decision to abandon Bagram Air Base, which freed thousands of “hardcore ISIS fighters.” One of those terrorists killed 13 American heroes in the Kabul airport attack. Just a few years later, Al Qaeda is calling terrorists to Afghanistan to train to launch attacks as the country has become a “safe haven” for terrorists. According to experts, Al Qaeda now has training camps in at least 10 provinces.
Yet, Biden insults the servicemembers who served, the families who lost loved ones, and the American people by claiming he was “right” and his withdrawal was an “extraordinary success.”
That is the only the beginning of the innumerable number of ways Biden undermined our national security. President Trump eradicated ISIS and protected the U.S. homeland before. He will protect America again when back in office. To do so, he needs his team in place on day one – the risks to our national security are too high to delay.
“LET US STRIVE FOR A FUTURE WHERE PEACE PREVAILS” – First Lady Melania Trump issued the following statement after the horrific terrorist attacks.

“AMERICA'S FARMERS NEED BROOKE ROLLINS” – Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is out with a new op-ed in support of Brooke Rollins for Agriculture Secretary.
Some highlights:
- “President-elect Trump scored win after win for our farm families during his first term and I know that’s one of his top goals for his second. But as the old saying goes, personnel is policy. That’s why we need Brooke Rollins, President Trump’s nominee to serve as secretary of agriculture, to be confirmed as soon as possible.”
- “I worked with Brooke in the White House, where she and I were part of a group of women empowered by President Trump to fight for his America First vision…She worked especially hard to roll back onerous red tape like the Waters of the United States policy, which President Obama wanted to use to regulate every stream, creek and puddle in America.”
- “Farming isn’t just intellectual to Brooke. She grew up in a small, agricultural community in Texas and comes from generations of hardworking American farmers. She studied agriculture at Texas A&M and spent the early part of her career fighting to protect farmers’ interests. She was part of 4-H and FFA and raises steer with her four kids.”
- “I’ve always believed that farming is more than just a business. Especially in places like smalltown Arkansas, it’s a way of life. It’s our state’s culture, our history and what knits communities like McGehee together. If our farmers disappear, something critical to the spirit of Arkansas – and America – would disappear along with them. Brooke understands that fact – and she’s prepared to do something about it.”
- “I know she is committed to improving broadband and connectivity in our small communities, helping rural Arkansas connect with the world. And I know she will fight to realize President Trump’s vision of a dominant America – in food, in energy and in everything else.”
- “Confirm Brooke as secretary of agriculture. Stand up for America’s farmers. Preserve our agriculture industry – and our nation’s way of life.”

“WHY CHEFS LIKE ME SUPPORT RFK JR.” – Chefs are supporting RFK, Jr.’s nomination to lead HHS.
A new op-ed explains:
- “The mission of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is to enhance the health and well-being of Americans. Somewhere during its journey of growth and influence, however, HHS lost its way.”
- “If this is to be corrected, new leadership is required to move us back to an era of less processed food, healthier ingredients, and logical choices that enhance our health. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has the focus, knowledge, enthusiasm, and influence to effect much-needed change in our food system.”
- “This country needs a fresh perspective on food. Systems must be revamped to bring ‘health’ back into the food equation. Let’s look at the bigger picture: Healthy food will result in a healthy population, and a healthy population reduces health care costs. We have allowed ourselves to become addicted to processed foods, unhealthy ingredients, and poor production techniques.”
- “The solution will not happen overnight, but we need to start somewhere. Kicking this can down the road will only make the solution more difficult at the expense of all Americans. RFK Jr. is the only person who has clearly demonstrated the will to initiate this change.”
- “If we hope to become a healthier country, we need a visionary leader to help change our perspective, educate the populace, and reshape the agencies that have allowed this country to equate laboratory additives with good health. RFK Jr. is that leader.”
