e’ve all heard of beauty makeovers. Sometimes the
Wresults are amazing. I like to do the same thing with
buildings. Sometimes it requires more innovation to improve
things in a big way than to build something new. The chal-
lenges can be more complex which is why a lot of developers are
quick to tear down existing structures and start over with a site.
I have a few good examples of buildings (and businesses) that
were worth salvaging, and they have turned out to be resound-
ing successes. The first thing to keep in mind is that you have
