                      t’s a fact of life, especially financial life. Everyone needs to budget.
                               I  Many people—including me—don’t like hearing that they have to limit
                   their spending. They don’t even like hearing the word budget.
                       Here are some of the objections I hear whenever the word budget enters
                   a conversation:

                       •        Budgets are too restrictive and limiting. They take away my freedom.
                       •      Budgets are too complicated. They’re hard to follow.
                       •      Budgets really don’t work. They set you up for failure.
                       •      Budgets aren’t fair. They cause arguments.
                       •      Budgets make me feel bad. I don’t want to know what a poor manager
                         I am.
