Region, I knew it was the right place. Menie Estate and Menie
House, which dates from the fourteenth century, is 12 miles
north of Aberdeen, which is Scotland’s third largest city. More
important, I had never seen such a dramatic unspoiled seaside
landscape. It contained sand dunes of immense proportions,
three miles of spectacular oceanfront, and 1400 acres in all. It
was stunning, and I got excited.
