They call it a quick pitch because it must be short and sweet. Like most of
us, investors are busy people and they will have no time and little patience
for long, boring sales pitches. Get to the point, and get to the point quickly.
Guide to the Quick Pitch
A simple guide to pitching your investment focuses on four main points.
Interestingly, these are the same four points you should follow when
designing your business. Allow no more than two minutes to pitch each of
the four points.
1. Project
What is the project?
Why is it unique?
Why is the business needed?
Why will customers love your product?
2. Partners
Who are you?
Who are the partners?
What are your educational backgrounds?
How much experience do you all have?
How are you and your partners qualified to make the project
a success?
3. Financing
What is the total cost of the project?
How much debt and how much equity is there?
Are partners investing their own money?
What is the investor’s return and reward for their risk?
