Business law is about the rules of the game. Ifyou look at any game,
there are always rules. and professional games always have a referee. Many
times, I have gotten into trouble, not because I am a crook, but simply
because I was not aware ofthe rules or had an advisor who was not aware of
the rules. So rules are important, and the earlier you understand the basic
rules, the better chance you have ofwinning the game.

Ifyou can become good at budgeting, controlling the cash flowing to
your asset column, you will have a better chance ofbecoming rich. Ifyou
aregood at budgetingand understand control and leverage, you can become
very rich without needing a high-paying job. There are many people who

havehigh-payingjobs but are poor simply because they do not know how to
budget or leverage and they have no COntrol.
So take a course or courses in accounting and business law. Knowing a
little about accounting and business law will probably make you better at
choosing good accountants and attorneys. (By the way, adults can do the
same thing in night school or at their local community colleges. And
regardless of age, you can join or form a CASHFLOW Club and take
       control ofyour financial education.)
At The Rich Dad Company, we have our Web site
www.RichKidSmartKid.com so we can make financial education available
to schools free ofcharge. It is our wayofhelping to level the playing field for
       allchildren.

       Donald's Response

Just this week, I received a letter from a professor at
Georgetown University who had taught and known my son Eric during
hiscollege career there. Eric graduated last month from the business
school, and while I knew he was a serious student who did well, I
have to say I didn't know how diligent he was.
This professor mentioned that Eric was the only student in all his
years of teaching who ever handed in his papers a week before they
