American workers could see how fast Asian workers work, and for so much
less, they might realize how hard they are not working. And in Europe, the
rich are in great shape because they operate more globally than mOSt
Americans. But many other European workers are in the dark ages. Instead
ofgoing forward, many ofthem are going backward." So, travel and see the
accelerating world ofmoney, known as globalization.

Winning The Money Olympics

For people who are starting with nothing, yet want to be rich, I often
suggest they imagine wanting to win an Olympic Gold Medal. Once you
set the goal ofwinning a gold medal, the next question is, which Olympics
- summer or winter? After that, the next question is, in which event? Do
you want to be a gold medalist in the 100-yard dash, water polo, rowing,
figure skating, downhill skiing, snowboarding, hammer throwing or
shooting? Once you choose which event, then study, train, hire a coach,
enter smaller events and dedicate your life to winning.
Ifyou are not willing to dedicate your life to winning, I doubt you have
a chance ofwinning the Olympics or becoming rich.
When I look back upon mylife, the three subjects I failed in school were
English, typing and accounting. Today,I am best known as a writer, I spend
most ofmy time typing and I write about accounting. Although I am not
great at writing, typing or accounting, I am dedicated to winning.

Assess The Facts

Ifyou are an adult, it is time to be truthful with yourselfand ask, "Am I
ahead of the world, or am I falling behind?" Ifyou are falling behind and
would rather keep falling behind, then begin to simplify your life. You may
need to live below your means, as most financial planners recommend.
Ifyou decide on joiningglobalization and becomingmore complex, the
following are some basic steps I recommend:

1. Find friends, new or old, or join a club with people who think
the way you want to think.
