I AM AN ADULT WITHOUT MUCH MONEY, WHAT SHOULD I You Do? I 257

correct discount? Would they know what the correct amount was and
be able to correct the cashier? Because if they didn't know, how
would they know if they'd been ripped off or not? Well, the kids
didn't like the idea of being ripped off, sothey suddenly began trying
to figure out the correct amount. He told them that this example
was one step to being prepared, or at least alert to what was
       happening around them.
The same lesson applies to adults. We have to take the time to
figure things out for ourselves, or we wind up being at the mercy of
peoplewho may intentionally or unintentionally have priorities other
than our best interests in mind.
Review your skill set, your interests, your location, your
inclinations, and put your mind to changing your situation. Remain
open to ideas that you might not normally entertain. Realize that
opportunity comes in different packages, and that somegreat things
have come after wipeouts. It may not be easy, but it can happen.
Whatever you do, don't give up. Assess what you have going for
you, and go with that. We all have something to offer, every person
is unique, and as I've said before, I don't accept excuses.
When it comesto your life and the well-being of your loved ones,
       neither should you.
